The Multimedia & Culture Foundation (SMC) in Amsterdam is a network organisation that develops and realises projects on the crossroads of culture, old and new media. The last few years we are involved in lots of projects and productions. Keywords for the people of SMC are: content driven, high standard in quality and pleasure in working together. Some of the projects are in English.

'Along the Roman Border' is an initiative of SMC. This project in development is about an interactive audiovisual storytelling along the 'limes', the border of the Roman Empire along the rivers Rhine and Danube including Hadrians' Wall. 'The MILUnet Operation' is in interactive DVD to disseminate multifunctional and intensive land use. ‘Impressions of Socio-spatial Analyses’ tells about the work of a Wageningen University Chair Group.

SMC is one of the partners in the research coalition of Framing the Dutch Landscape, a PhD thesis (Dutch title: Bewogen Lanschap) at the Faculty of the Humanities of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the research priority ‘Cultural Heritage’ in a match with the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision.
